Noel Duffy
Principal

Noel is a business and private client specialist with nearly 20 years' experience in the field. He advises on all aspects of business and trust structuring; trust establishment, wealth creation, asset protection, wills and estate planning. His clients include high net worth individuals, business owners, large investment banks, sporting personalities, international clients and self managed superannuation fund trustees.

Before moving to Australia in 2004, Noel worked in London for over 13 years in estate and asset planning and administration. He was the Head of Trusts for the Guinness family who made their fortune brewing the well-known beverage. Noel supervised the Guinness family's worldwide trust investments that included extensive share portfolios, agricultural and commercial properties. He also assisted family members with estate and taxation planning. Prior to that, Noel worked for the Official Solicitors office in London as well as a prominent London law firm, both in London and California, specialising in trusts, offshore structures, estate and property portfolios.

Prior to founding Duffy Lawyers, Noel was a partner at a large commercial law firm based in Brisbane.

Noel is one of only approximately 40 members of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) in Queensland - a worldwide organisation of lawyers, accountants and bankers in this field. He gained his STEP membership in the UK in 2001 after completing a series of exams and practising in trusts, tax and estate law for over 10 years.  Noel is also an associate of the Taxation Institute of Australia.
